Don't rough dry your hair - blot dry with a towel to avoid damage
Always condition your hair if it is prone to breakage - if you are scared to condition, use conditioner before shampooing, you will still get the nutrients your hair craves
Use a de-tangling spray and a wide tooth comb whilst wet
Sleep on a satin pillow. Satin won't snag your hair like cotton, which is known to rough up the cuticle.
Leave your hair down whilst you sleep 
Always tie hair with metal free, snag free elastics. (Whilst 90s fashion is in, how about using a scrunchy?)
One way to get healthy looking hair? Rinse, Rinse, Rinse. Residue on your hair will weigh it down
When applying conditioner, apply to the mid section to the ends as that is where the damage is. There is no need to condition the roots
For stronger healthy looking hair adjust your diet. Your hair is a reflection on your inner health, so design your eating habit accordingly
Once a week, deep condition your hair. Use a mask or your normal conditioner; pop on a shower cap and leave for 10 mins, then rinse normally
After washing your hair, do a final rinse with cold water to seal the cuticle and leave hair looking extra shiny
