Its all in the Details

This summer I'm loving simple looks jazzed up with lots of beautiful accessories. The indie look with piles of bracelets, a simple statement necklace or even a bindie! Hats count as accessorising and im a big fan of a summer hat, to keep those rays off and look super cute!

Where to watch

There has been a sense of panic around Doha today, people who are worrying that Mosaic have yet to install their World Cup package, many wondering which bars will be open late enough to watch the later night matches.... Well fear not - here are a  few of the places you will be able to watch the games this year.  As soon as we hear anything about Ramadan timings we will let you all know!
Opening Party
Event Center, The Business Park - Crowne Plaza
12th June @ 8pm
Lots of fun activities and big screens to welcome in the world cup.

World Cup Tent
The Garden Terrace - Four Seasons
June 12th - 28th
For QR165, you will get access to the tent that will feature; big screens, snacks, beverages & shisha.
Brazilian Beach
Champions - Marriott City
June 12th - 13th
Where better to watch a football game than in the home of a sports bar.  Champions is turning into a beach inside the restaurant adding 12 tons of sand.  There are 40 screens broadcasting the games with DJ May Tox playing during game intervals. Brazilian inspired food and beverages will be available.
June 14th - 28th
The sand will be cleared out, and replaced with  Champions own football turf.
Paloma! - Intercontinental
June 12th - 28th
Watch all the big games at Paloma! in the Intercontinental.  Happy hour with 50% off drinks between 5pm-7pm everyday with added food happy hour on Saturday - Monday.

The Jazz Club - St Regis
June 12th - 13th
The Jazz Club has transformed into a sports bar for the world cup, there will be many a big screen with surround sound, snacks and international hops for World Cup Fans.
I like the idea of the Brazilian Beach and think I will be heading to Champs to watch the opening match!

Much love,

Pearly Whites

Recently we have both been asked separately how we get our pearly whites so gleaming!  There are a couple of methods that we use to encourage a nice healthy looking set of pegs!
The first method that we tried worked wonders and very quickly, but when used too often it does start to effect the sensitivity and the enamel. But if you are in need of a quick fix, log onto Strips R Us and get yourself a pack of Crest Whitening Supreme Professional Strips.  They will set you back £59.95 (QR370) for 42 but we highly recommend these - they have been a life saver, and are worth every penny.

Haute Bohème

What better way to embrace the boho style than strutting around in a kimono.  I find these are great for the summer months, as they are cooling for the day, but add protection against a potential chill in the evenings.  Kimono's are everywhere at the moment, from amazing custom made ones on Etsy, to pre-loved ones on Ebay, to ones on the high street. We also sell custom made kimonos - don't forget to check out our shop for more details.

Twin Sets

If there is one current fashion that reminds me of my childhood its the good ol' matching two pieces. I really like twin sets and I just have not seen it done enough here in the desert! What I love about coords is that you can pair either item with something else to make more than one outfit.
I have trawled the internet (shock - that's all I ever seem to do!) in search of some lovely co-ordinates.
The outfit below is from River Island, team the bold tribal print with chucky mules or wedges and retro sunnies.

Crop top £12 | Tube Skirt £16 | Mules £50

Lancome Doll Eyes Review

It had been a while since I'd invested in a new mascara, so having heard good things about Lancôme, at the airport I decided to look at the Hypnôse range. I usually use Benefit and Maybelline in between the use of my individual false lashes (see Harriets post about DIY Lashes here) .
