Thailand: Patong Beach Hotel

Well it has been over a month since my last post, and I would really love to tell you the reason for that was I've been I have been out of my mind crazy busy... but the only thing I have been up to is sweet F all! Perhaps that is why I have felt so lethargic and haven't bothered to update you all with my boring life rants!
Trip to Phi Phi

I did however take a mini break to Thailand for 9 days. As I was on my own I didn't do a whole lot, except go to the local markets, eat great food and have some alone chill time. So here is a little review of the hotel that I stayed at, Patong Beach Hotel.
I chose the hotel based on the fact that it had restaurants and a pool within the resort, as well as the fact that it had been recommended to me.  The location was fab, the beach was on the door step as well as the local shops and Bangla Road was only a 5 min walk away. There was also a fabulous coffee shop right next to the hotel which is where I spent most of my mornings.
The resort itself seemed a little dated in all honesty; but that didn't matter too much. The room was a decent size and always clean, the staff were so so friendly, with me being on my own they made a huge effort to ensure my stay was as great as possible, the restaurant prices were very reasonable and the pool area was lovely. Apparently there were two pools, but I only ever ventured to one.

I met a couple of people in the lobby who told me that they had stayed at the hotel in December and it was PACKED, however May time was perfect for me; not too many people about, I was always able to get a spot on a lounger, and that's all I wanted, I wasn't there to make friends as antisocial as that sounds!
**Grinch Alert**
In actual fact I went for surgery, which perhaps I will talk about in the future! So really I needed time to recover and relax by the pool and Patong Beach Hotel catered to that perfectly. The staff were amazing, always checking in on me to make sure I was alright and ask me how I was feeling! So sweet of them! They even upgraded my room free of charge on my return from hospital!
**Unfortunately I didn't actually take any photos as I wasn't planning on doing a review in my dazed state, so I've stolen them off the hotels website!**
I did however take a day trip to Phi Phi, here are a couple of my own pics!

My eyebrows seem to have sweated off! looooovely!!
Have you been to Thailand, would you recommend any trips, areas or hotels?
Much love,
