Haute Bohème

What better way to embrace the boho style than strutting around in a kimono.  I find these are great for the summer months, as they are cooling for the day, but add protection against a potential chill in the evenings.  Kimono's are everywhere at the moment, from amazing custom made ones on Etsy, to pre-loved ones on Ebay, to ones on the high street. We also sell custom made kimonos - don't forget to check out our shop for more details.
When I think Bohemian, I imagine what I want to be wearing whilst running around as a free spirit in a field or desert land.  Think.... hippie with a few stray feathers around your neck with the odd bone for good measure oh... and tassels... many many tassels!

I ADORE this Wilma Lace dress from Solace London £115 (QR700).. it would be perfect for a festival, layer with a kimono, chunky necklace and worker boots to add a bit of 'dirt' to the outfit!

I am really liking full length kimonos at the moment.  I have had my eye on the one on the left (below) for AGES now.  If only I had a spare $220 (QR800), if you do happen to have that spare....here are my details! ;)  On a more serious note... get yours here. The crochet maxi kimono (right) is slightly cheaper, also from Spell, at $199 (QR725).

You most definitely will have seen the pictures of Vanessa Hudgens at Coachella this year, she looks absolutely amazing in this play dress by Spell. They have it in a number of colours, so you wont be copying her style too obviously, the prices range start from $159 (QR580).

Short shorts are common at festivals... try high waisted linen shorts as an alternative, pair with a bralet, kimono & gladiator sandals. These coral shorts are from ASOS for only £18 (QR110). The lace bralet is from Topshop for £30 (QR180).

Lourdes Lace-up Boots

Remember, it is not all about the clothes, investing in accessories can revamp a tired outfit.  I like that the boho look incorporates old style jewellery.  You may have come across a shop in Souq Waqif (on the main strip, the shop has a boat outside) that sell this type of jewellery at a fraction of the price.
One:  This statement necklace adds an instant boho look, get it for $65 (QR235)

Two: I've said it before, I shall say it again.... tassels tassels tassels. This gorgeous bag is available from Free People for £80 (QR502)

Three: You may have found at festivals it is all about the head wear, (not the music as you would be lead to believe) you will no doubt see flower crowns, feather headdresses and novelty hats... but why not try a tika or head chain.  This one is available from Spell for $159 (QR580). On the expensive side I know... but you can get similar from other online stores and on the high street.

Four: No matter rain nor shine, you will need a pair of sunglasses this summer. These Spitfire Lennon sunglasses cost only $37 (QR138) from Free People.

Five: Tattoos. I like how these are not your typical temporary tattoos, these henna/Egyptian inspired black and gold foil tattoos will add a bit more zest to your outfit. $40 (QR145)
Six: This belt need I say more? Well yeah.... the price of it ..... $105 (QR382) OUCH!

Finally... what says boho like a bit of crochet.  I absolutely love the stock from Rat & Boa (when it is available, they sell out super quick).   Yesterday they added more stock and styles to their website... check them out for great festival wear. This dress cost £35 (QR214).
Pearl & Peach love to see what you have been wearing, don't forget to send us your summer looks to appear on our Spotted in June page.
Much love,
